Four MOBE Schools Enjoy Bag Supplies from AAI

There were four MOBE schools enjoyed bag supplies from Asia America Initiative distributed last May, 2015. Albert Santoli, President of AAI requested the DIC, Samoore S. Ladjahali to localize MOBE which means Model of Bayanihan Education as the title of AAI recipient schools in Luzon and Visayas. He instructed the District In-Charge to give similar meaning of the acronym using Bahasa Sug mother tongue of the people of Sulu. So, the DIC indigenized it into Model of Bawgbug Education which was also approve AA President after elucidating what ‘bawgbug’ implies in relation to bayanihan. MOBE schools of AAI comprises the following elementary schools:
  1. Kasambuhan Village Elementary School headed by Nur-aisha A. Gonzales, Principal - I and located at Km. 4, Tagbak, Indanan, Sulu
  2. Timbangan Elementary School headed by TIC, Masdida M. Sarabi, Teacher - II and situated at Km. 6, Timbangan, Indanan, Sulu
  3. Poblacion Elementary School headed by TIC, Alyasir A. Hussam, Teacher - I and sited at Km. 12, Poblacion, Indanan, Sulu
  4. Pasil Elementary School headed by Faisal A. Kadil, Head Teacher - III and stood at Km. 15, Pasil, Indanan, Sulu

From the office of Hja. Shareen Mariwa Lakibul, Division Nurse and AAI Staff, Horhelyn S. Ahaja, the above-bulleted MOBE schools received sixty pieces of bag supplies respectively. Division Nurse assisted by AAI Staff notified every school administrator of MOBE schools through mobile messages and Division Memorandum calling for their attention over the newly-shipped educational assistance from the President of AAI, Albert Santoli. Short briefing was given to all MOBE school leaders before the signing of acknowledgement receipt was done in Health and Nutrition Section, DepED Office, Jolo, Sulu last May, 2015. Timely, the supplies arrived during the season of six-day Brigada Eskwela in all schools where learners, parents, BLGU, MLGU, sectors and other educational stakeholders were expected to collaborate in the implementation of Brigada Eskwela. Thus, Brigada Eskwela implementers in the four MOBE schools were updated about the untiring supports of President Albert Santoli, West Virginian brother-like of Tausug people in the pursuit of quality education for the Tausug school children. They were so proud of their school connected with American educational partner like AAI and its friends who are in one way or the other in making ISD MOBE schools fully-equipped with learning materials, health and nutrition programs, and other school facilities that may assist student's growth in both physical and academic aspects as 21st century individuals.

At the early week of the opening of regular classes, School Year 2015-2016, every MOBE school of ISD distributed the sixty pieces of AAI bag supplies to every enrollee in Kindergarten and Grade 1 pupils. Early grade learners were so delightful in possessing AAI bag. More importantly, their parents were full of gratitude to Albert Santoli and his partners in providing school children with such school supplies.
